Back when cars were cars, not the rolling beer cans and plastic things that are built today. It looks like one of the cars from the ‘Godfather” movie, in which Pauly met his demise. You didn’t buy it from the Corleone family, did you? ha ha
The other Merc is also very well done. (Sigh) Too bad they don’t make them like this anymore.

Thank you for the photos,
Bill C.

Truly an example of a classic. I once owned a ’51 Hudson Hornet. Often wondered what could have been done to “upgrade” that baby?

The first car I remember that my dad had was a 50 Merc, not sure of the year he brought it home but it wasn’t new. It was “baby blue”, dad’s term, with flathead V8 (you can always tell a flathead by the way the starter sounded), 3 speed trans with overdrive and my memory of the car is that it was pretty nice. Would love to have that old Merc.
Enjoyed the pics of your Merc and know you enjoy it. I’m pleased that your 17 year old daughter wants it.
Regards,
JB
